What is the Diversity Visa Lottery (DV)?

Find the “Forgot confirmation number” link on the checking page, just below the box to fill the Confirmation of entrant. Click it to recover the confirmation number.

First visit the official website (https://www.dvlottery.state.gov) Copy this page link and paste it on the next page, managed by the Bureau of Consular Affairs, U.S. Department of State, to view the result.
Then click check status below. (As a lot of people are trying to find the result, The server might be busy or crashed if you are trying on the very first announcement time, you can try again after waiting for some time.
Then you will get a page after continuing on another page.
On the page, you need to fill in the entrant information like confirmation number, last/family name, year of birth. Finally, you should enter the CAPTCHA code to confirm you are a human and click submit.
You can find the Confirmation number on the page you have saved while completing the EDV form earlier. The confirmation number is 16 digit number, which goes like in the format 2021 **referrer*,
The starting digits 2021 means the confirmation is for the year 2021.
The last/family name is the family name you have used to apply for the registration.
And the year of birth you have applied for the registration forms is your original birth year mentioned in your official citizenship or other documents.
You will be notified on the next page if you have been selected for the winner or not.
