What is Computer ?

A computer is known as electrical equipment made specifically for processing, storing, and retrieving data. It has the ability to process data in a variety of ways, including calculating, sorting, searching, and information display. Computers can be used for a variety of activities, including web browsing, document creation, gaming, and software program execution. They are made up of physical elements such the central processing unit (CPU), memory, and storage devices as well as operating system software. Several aspects of modern life, including commerce, entertainment, and communication, have changed as a result of the increasing use of computers.

A computer has four functions:

• Input : Accepts data
• Processing : Processes data
• Output : Provide Result as output
• Storage : Stores Results

What is Computer System ?

A computer system is a combination of hardware and software components that work together to perform various operations and tasks. All of the components of a computer system can be summarized with the simple equations.

Computer System = Hardware + Software + User

• Hardware = Internal Devices + Peripheral Devices
• All physical parts of the computer (or everything that we can touch) are known as Hardware.
• Software = Programs (Gives "intelligence" to the computer.)
• USER = Person, who operates computer.
