Here are the list of New Salary Sheet of Indian Army Staffs according to their ranks. The Indian Army is the land-based branch and the largest component of the Indian Armed Forces. The President of India is the Supreme Commander of the Indian Army, and its professional head is the Chief of Army Staff, who is a four-star general.

Notes: Apart from other facilities like housing, food, etc. an army soldier receives extra allowances for other things like, for Kit Maintenance, a soldier of Indian Army get Rs. 400 per month. Transport Allowance of Rs. 1600 to Rs 3200, Field Area Allowance Rs 25% of Basic Pay, Counterinsurgency Rs 6300, High Altitude Rs. 5600, Siachen Rs 14000, Flying Pay Rs 9000, Parachute Pay Rs 1200, Special Forces Rs 9000 per month, etc..

Non- Commissioned Rank of Indian Army :

1) Indian Army Sepoy Salary:
  • A sepoy was formerly the designation given to an Indian soldier. In the modern Nepali, Indian and Pakistani army it remains in use for the rank of private soldier.
  • Salary (Without Allowances): ₹ 21,700
  • Retirement Age: 19 Years of Service or 42 Years of age whichever is sooner.

2) Indian Army Lance Naik Salary:
  • Salary (Without Allowances): ₹ 21,700 (Same as Sepoy)
  • Retirement Age: 24 Years of Service or 42 Years of age whichever is sooner.

3) Indian Army Naik Salary:
  • Salary (Without Allowances): ₹ 25,500
  • Retirement Age: 24 Years of Service or 49 Years of age whichever is sooner.

4) Indian Army Havaldar Salary:
  • A havildar or havaldar is a rank in the Indian and Pakistani armies, equivalent to a sergeant. It is not used in cavalry units, where the equivalent is daffadar.
  • Salary (Without Allowances): ₹ 29,200
  • Retirement Age: 26 Years of Service or 52 Years of age whichever is sooner.

5) Indian Army Company Quarter Master Havaldar Salary:
  • Salary (Without Allowances): ₹ 29,200 (Same as Havaldar)
  • Retirement Age: 26 Years of Service or 52 Years of age whichever is sooner. (Same as Havaldar)

Junior Commission Officer (JCO) Ranks of Indian Army:

6) Indian Army Naib Subedar Salary:
  • Salary (Without Allowances): ₹ 35,400
  • Retirement Age: 30 Years of Service or 52 Years of age whichever is sooner.

7) Indian Army Subedar Salary:
  • Subedar is a historical rank in the Indian Army and Pakistan Army, ranking below British commissioned officers and above non-commissioned officers.
  • Salary (Without Allowances): ₹ 44,900
  • Retirement Age: 30 Years of Service or 52 Years of age whichever is sooner.

8) Indian Army Subedar Major Salary:
  • Subedar-major is the senior rank of junior commissioned officer in the Indian and Pakistan Armies, and formerly a Viceroy's commissioned officer in the British Indian Army.
  • Salary (Without Allowances): ₹ 47,600
  • Retirement Age: 34 Years of Service or 54 Years of age whichever is sooner.

9) Indian Army Lieutenant Salary:
  • A lieutenant is a junior most commissioned officer in the armed forces, fire services, police and other organizations of many nations.
  • Salary (Without Allowances): ₹ 56,100
  • Retirement Age: 52 Years of Service.

10) Indian Army Captain Salary:
  • The army rank of captain is a commissioned officer rank historically corresponding to the command of a company of soldiers. The rank is also used by some air forces and marine forces. Captain insignia is three five-pointed stars.
  • Salary (Without Allowances): ₹ 61,300
  • Retirement Age: 52 Years of Service.

11) Indian Army Major Salary:
  • Major is a military rank of commissioned officer status, with corresponding ranks existing in many military forces throughout the world. Major rank insignia is national emblem.
  • Salary (Without Allowances): ₹ 69,400
  • Retirement Age: 52 Years of Service.

12) Indian Army Lieutenant Colonel Salary:
  • Lieutenant colonel is a rank of commissioned officer in the armies, most marine forces and some air forces of the world, above a major and below a colonel. Lieutenant Colonel’s insignia is a national emblem over five-pointed star.
  • Salary (Without Allowances): ₹ 1,21,200
  • Retirement Age: 54 Years of Service.

13) Indian Army Colonel Salary:
  • Colonel is a senior military officer rank below the brigadier and general officer ranks. However, in some small military forces, such as those of Monaco or the Vatican, colonel is the highest rank. 
  • Salary (Without Allowances): ₹ 1,30,600
  • Retirement Age: 54 Years of Service.

14) Indian Army Brigadier Salary:
  • Brigadier is a military rank, the seniority of which depends on the country. In some countries, it is a senior rank above colonel, equivalent to a brigadier general, typically commanding a brigade of several thousand soldiers.
  • Salary (Without Allowances): ₹ 1,39,600
  • Retirement Age: 56 Years of Service.

15) Indian Army Major General Salary:
  • Major General is a military rank used in many countries. It is derived from the older rank of sergeant major general.
  • Salary (Without Allowances): ₹ 1,44,200
  • Retirement Age: 58 Years of Service.

16) Indian Army Lieutenant General Salary:
  • Lieutenant General is a three star military rank used in many countries.
  • Salary (Without Allowances): ₹ 1,82,200
  • Retirement Age: 60 Years of Service.

17) Indian Army COAS General Salary:
  • A General Officer is an officer of high rank in the army, and in some nations' air forces or marines. General’s Insignia is a National emblem over a five-pointed star, all over a crossed baton and Saber.
  • Salary (Without Allowances): ₹ 2,50,000
  • Retirement Age:  3 Wears as COAS (Chief  Of Army Staff) or at the age of 62, whichever is earlier.

18) Indian Army Field Marshal Salary:
  • Field Marshal is a five–star general officer rank and the highest attainable rank in the Indian Army. Field Marshal’s insignia is a national emblem over a crossed baton and Saber in a Lotus Blossom Wreath.
  • Salary (Without Allowances): ₹ 2,50,000
  • A filed marshal never retire even when they are no longer serving the country. They get a salary all life long.
  • In the history of the Indian army, only two people are appointed as field marshal posts i.e SHFJ Manekshaw, and KM Cariappa.

Notes:

  • Salaries mentioned in each rank are just the starting salary, after adding other benefits like allowances the salary goes even higher. Also, the yearly increment is added to the salary for all posts.

  • Transportation Allowances: Rs. 1600 to Rs. 3200
  • Counterinsurgency: Rs. 6300
